BASKETBALL TRAININGS

"Pick Up Your Ball!" E-Learning for the week has ended, let's go get a 30 minute workout together that will combine coordination drills, hands and feet working together, and some ball tricks: Please have basketball, 3 cones or something to mark a spot

3:30PM Pick Up Your Ball: K - 2nd Grade (Coach Ron & Coach A)
3:30PM Pick Up Your Ball: 3rd - 4th Grade (Coach Justin & Coach J)
4:30PM Pick Up Your Ball: 5th - 8th Grade (Coach Derek & Coach J)

SATURDAY, MAY 30th SCHEDULE

BASKETBALL TRAININGS

10:00AM Foundations of Ball Handling: 3rd – 4th Grade (Coach Day & Coach J)
Beginner stationary dribbling that will strengthen fingertip to forearms, develop a better feel for your stance/body weight, and building confidence in your ability to control the ball with both hands Please have basketball and 3 cones/markets…if possible one chair

10:00AM Shooting Workout (hoop will be used): 5th - 8th Grade (Coach Derek & Coach A)
Rhythm and form drills on the mechanics of shooting step ins, off the catch/out of triple threat moves, and off the dribble - high intensity workout 3 Cones / something to mark a spot & Passer(Not Mandatory for passer)

11:00AM Foundations of Ball Handling and Finishing (hoop will be used): K - 2nd Grade (Coach Day & Coach J)
Beginner stationary dribbling that will strengthen fingertip to forearms, develop a better feel for your stance/body weight, and building confidence in your ability to control the ball with both hands. We will progress into lay up finishes Please have basketball and 3 cones/markets…if possible one chair

11:00AM Shooting Workout (hoop will be used): 3rd - 4th Grade (Coach Derek & Coach A)
Rhythm and form drills on the mechanics of shooting step ins, off the catch/out of triple threat moves, and off the dribble 3 Cones or something to mark a spot & Passer (Not Mandatory for passer)

12:00PM Creating Space/Scoring Opportunities (hoop will be used): 5th - 8th Grade (Coach Derek & Coach A)
Individual moves off the dribble and out of triple threat/catches to improve first step speed vs. control in creating space against a defender with direct line attacks Please have basketball, 3-4 cones and basket to finish shots on if you have (not mandatory)

BASKETBALL TRAININGS

10:00AM Footwork – Fitness & Challenges: K - 2nd Grade (Coach Ron and Coach J)
A variety of speed and agility drills for stance, core confidence, and controlling a player’s body weight while having some fun with the basketball Please have basketball and one cone or something to mark a spot

10:00AM Burnout Challenges+Competitions: 3rd – 4th Grade (Coach Justin and Coach A)
Dribbling races stationary and on the move, weak hand progressions, and cone pick up work Please have basketball and three cones or something to mark a spot

11:00AM Footwork and Fitness: 3rd - 5th Grade (Coach J & Coach Ron)

11:00AM Advanced Ball Handling: 5th - 8th Grade (Coach Justin & Coach A)
Stationary and on the move dribbling with advanced burnout challenges that will challenge your ability to pound the ball with both hands and move it around your body with confidence 2 basketballs, tennis ball

12:00PM Burnout Challenges+Competitions: 5th – 8th Grade (Coach Justin and Coach A)
Dribbling races stationary and on the move, weak hand progressions, and cone pick up work Please have basketball and three cones or something to mark a spot
