PLAY HARD HOOPS WARRIORS GUIDE FOR SUCCESS
Thank you for your interest in the Warriors program. At Play Hard Hoops (PHH), we are dedicated to offering a unique and effective developmental opportunity for the area’s most committed and talented youth players. The foundation of the PHH City Warriors travel basketball program is built on a structured, disciplined, and passionate environment where commitment, personal values, and principles are prioritized.
In partnership with parents, we provide a platform for character development, preparing boys and girls for the pressures of competitive basketball and life beyond the court.
Our Philosophy:
Entering its 16th year, PHH offers a high-quality basketball educational experience in the Chicagoland area. We focus on developing critical team concepts and strong fundamentals for each player. Our approach includes teaching offensive and defensive strategies to prepare players for high school basketball. Our teams will learn motion offense to enhance spacing and ball movement, along with understanding how to create good shots. A key focus is on half-court man-to-man defense, which aids athletic development and is crucial for success at higher levels.
Success on the floor is a result of our process. We are not defined by championships but by the impact we leave on people. Our staff emphasizes key leadership values and principles to today’s youth. Our top goal is to create memorable team experiences that positively impact a player’s growth on and off the court.
Team Goals:
• Play Team Basketball
• Play with Passion
• Play for Each Other
Individual Goals:
• Skill Development – Master Fundamentals
• Improved Knowledge of the Game
• Be Part of a Team – Support and Love Your Teammates
• Stay Motivated for Future Improvement
Player Expectations:
• Practice Hard
• Be a Good Teammate
• Be Coachable
